Under his Apple One epithet, Poland's Arkadiusz Łoś has struck sonic lightning onto floors time after time with tracks like 'Colour of Memories', 'Raw Machines' and the unforgettable 'Heart Shaped Box'. Now to usher in the New Year, Łoś has succeeded in topping them all with his debut EP for Paul van Dyk's VANDIT Records. Two tracks. Two different times of the night. One giant release effect.

'The Light' begins its summit accent with skipping break-beats, echoing harmonics, thermally uplifting synths and temperately warm chords & pads. As it washes out into the drop, Łoś works in a dramatic chiming, echoing piano delay, ramping its atmosphere. Sliding in huge emotional synths and calling female vocals, it summons its coup de grace moment!

As its title infers, 'The Shade' presents a different tonal hue to Arkadiusz's music. It may open with illusive melodics but it's not long before the track tucks it head down low... and charges! Fielding high-octane drums, buzzing distortion and intensive frequencies, it homes in on the later night play. Working the pitch-wheel like a man possessed, Apple One cranks 'The Shade' up into a full-blown testosterone trance firestorm.
