As one of the few quality tech/trance producers coming from Germany at the moment, Berlin based Reaves & Ahorn are definitely leading the pack! And although they might not be known as the most prolific production team in dance music, the quality of their productions always manages to speak for itself!
Dan Reaves and Niels von Ahorn first teamed up in 2003, and though it took some time to find out exactly which direction they wanted to take, they developed a style that suited them perfectly -- deep, driving, technoid trance. From that point on things just fell into place as their first releases "Activity" and "Simple Ignorance" were quickly singed by Paul van Dyk's Download Shop for electronic music: VONYC.com. Shortly after, John Askew was hot on their trail. Realizing their potential, he signed their 2nd release "Physical", a collaboration with Aboutblank, for his very own Discover Digital label. With this kind of debut, there was no doubt that Reaves & Ahorn were going somewhere fast! Suddenly remixes for John O'Callaghan, Thomas Bronzwaer, Darren Tate and Corderoy were popping up and even Radio 1's Judge Jules was taking notice.
Now releasing their new single "Shifting Lives" on VANDIT digital, Danny and Niels are red hot! A mixture of dark vibes, long soft breaks and hope filled melodies flow throughout the track as the beat pulls the listener along.
